HOORAY!
Okay, so after my last post I did some real soul searching and really thought about how I was eating and what I was eating. I know that I am addicted to sweets and carbs and although those are the things that I LOVE to eat those are the things that make me feel like I'm on a roller coaster all day. I decided that I would eat a low carb diet and my hubby has joined me so we are able to support each other daily with detoxing our bodies from carbs. YES, I said detoxing because we are both addicted to carbs. I could eat pasta and bread all day every day and cakes, pies, and donuts oh my all day as well. I was always hungry on the Weight Watchers plan and although I know I probably could have eaten more things to make it work better it just didn't work for me - for the 3rd time. So...
I started last Monday - sensible eating but low carb ~ a week ago and I feel incredible!!! I started last Monday weighing the same thing I did on May 30th when I joined Weight Watchers and the entire time I was on WW from May 30th until last Monday I lost and gained and lost and gained and lost 6 lbs. I weighed this morning and am down 8 lbs. I have more energy and haven't felt like I've been on a roller coaster either.
TODAY I am celebrating my 18th Anniversary with my husband and looking at the wedding pictures gives me even more encouragement to get this weight off! By my 20th Anniversary I'd like to be down to my pre-wedding weight and maintained it as well!!
Hope you have a fabulous week!!

Congratulations, Sandy! And I say "whatever works for YOU". Weight Watchers is working for me, but I can understand how it might not work for someone else. I'm a pasta lover, too, but breads have never really been my problem. (The 3 tons of butter I PUT on my bread has been my problem. lol). I really hope this work for you - it's important that you be happy with your body. I look in the mirror now and, while I know I still have a long way to go, I get a special thrill just knowing how far I've come. It's made me feel younger, happier, more upbeat in general. I NEEDED to lose this weight just so I could find ME again.
I had typed out a big long comment on your previous post a few days ago, but the computer I was on took my comment and destroyed it (I've had serious computer issues the past couple of months!!). I'm sorry I wasn't able to offer encouragement before now.
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to hear of your progress!!
